You can use the Buddy List feature to keep track of certain members and be notified when they sign on to the chat site. The buddy list shows you which of your buddies is currently signed on. The buddy list also provides a convenient method for launching Person-To-Person Chat with your buddies, regardless of which room they are currently using.

Viewing the Buddy List

To view the buddy list, access the My Buddies tab along the top of the interface.

Adding Buddies

To add a buddy to your buddy list:

1. Access the My Buddies tab.
2. Click the Add button.
3. Enter the nickname of the member you wish to add as a buddy.

NOTE:
If the member has chosen to give his approval before he can be added as a buddy, then your new buddy list entry is not available until the member has given his or her approval. Instructions for requiring this approval for yourself are provided in the Buddy List Approval section.

Deleting a Buddy

To delete a buddy from your buddy list:

1. Access the My Buddies tab.
2. Click the nickname of the member you wish to delete from the list.
3. Click the Delete button.

Reverse List

If you wish to see who has added you to their buddy list,

1. Access the My Buddies tab.
2. Click the Reverse checkbox.

Deleting yourself from another Member's Buddy List

To delete yourself from another member's buddy list:

1. Access the My Buddies tab.
2. Click the Reverse checkbox.
3. Select the member from whom you wish to remove your buddy entry on their buddy list
4. Click the Delete button.

Buddy List Approval

You may not wish to allow all members to freely add you to their buddy list. To configure the system so that you must approve of all requests to have you added to buddy lists

1. Click the Chat Options button in the top toolbar.

   The Chat Options dialog box is displayed.

2. Check the Buddy Approvals box.
3. Click Save.
