Cyber Server: MODERATORS

We are always looking for moderators at stelivo.com. We prefer to rely on human moderation than a mIRC bot like most other chat server do. Not many people get this rare opportunity, but if we notice that you have the talent to be a moderator we will most certainly contact you.

We are not interested in people who want moderation status because they like the perks that come with it. We are looking for people who genuinely want to enforce the chat room rules and like to help others. These are people who can defuse malicious situations without relying on banning or k-lining. Every user is important to us and a server ban is always a last resort.

We don't want people acting as machines pretending to be some kind of super powerful chat room user (which sadly happens a lot). We are looking for a normal person who acts the same way with or without the moderation status. Moods are expected to be socially sound and keep the chat rooms active like, Welcoming people, starting conversation and helping people. It's expected for a moderator to be online often, please do not submit the mod form if you have limited access to the internet.

You must be a regular user of the chat rooms and must also have good understanding of the ChatSpace software and it is not essential but very helpful to have knowledge of mIRC. We are only interested in members who are committed in helping making us succeed in becoming one of the most popular and safest chat sites on the web. Anyone who is trying to moderate for personal gain will get nowhere.

Do not send a moderator form more than once! Think of it as applying for a job. Two people send in an application form. The first person sends a form 500 characters long explaining why they are suitable for the job previous history of moderation and so on. The second persons form is misspelled and says 'I want mod cuz its fun and i can kick people'. Guess whose form will make it to the second stage? Don't come online for the first time and submit a moderation form. We will only moderate regulars. Do NOT private message the chat mods asking when you are going to be made a moderator, Do NOT join the #Help room saying "I've submitted a mod form, where is my reply". Some applicants get accepted right away, some get refused. Others go to the pending section where they will stay until we add more moderators. Nobody is guaranteed a reply, trying to follow up on your submission will only ensure it gets rejected.
