It is important for everyone who uses the Stelivo chat rooms to read the rules first. Stelivo moderates the chat rooms very closely so to avoid "I didn't know i wasn't supposed to do that" and "How was i supposed to know?" stating those sentences in the #Help room after being banned it's essential you read these rules in full.

What happens to rules brakers

People braking the rules wont be in the chat rooms for long. We have advanced methods of moderation which ensure we get the offenders and trouble makers swiftly before causing much damage.

In order below are methods we practice to remove and in some cases report people who brake the rules

• Quiet Status - Muted from the entire Chat Room for a period of time
• Kicked - You will be kicked from the room which an offense has occured
• Room Ban - Banned from a specific chat room
• K-lined - This is a ban from the entire Stelivo Chat Network
• Contact ISP - The offenders IP address and IRC logs will be reported directly to the internet service provider
• Contact ISP, CEOP, VTG - This is the result of paedophiles on the chat. They are reported to there ISP, CEOP.gov.uk and Virtual Global Taskforce

Stelivo is a registered industry with CEOP.gov.uk and reports paedophiles in bulk weekly

This is why it's important for users to stick to the correct age groups, Younger chatters caught in the adult rooms will be permanently banned for putting themselves at risk. If a younger user continuously joins an adult chat room Stelivo will contact the homeowner of the IP traced.

Methods of Moderation

Stelivo rises above and beyond any other online chat service to provide a safe place for it's users to enjoy a free chat, we have unique methods of moderation which are unrivaled by any other service we know of. We use both human moderation and a Chat Bot to protect our chat rooms.

Human Moderators are carefully hand picked by mod scouts, many aspects are looked into before choosing a moderator including online duration, activity and timezone. Timezones are important, we need to have human moderators online and active in the chat rooms 24/7, which is why we have a moderator team spanning the globe.

Of course it's impossible to be watching the chat rooms every second of every day which is why we have a chat bot

The Chat Bot is connected to the chat 24/7 and logs all the information of every person that joins the rooms. It has a tagging system that targets specific offenders and reports all activity into the #Mods room.

• Do not post weblinks to external websites

Age: 18+ Chat Room Rules

These rules apply to the chat rooms that cater for users aged 18+;

• Do not spam external products in the chat rooms
• Ask before engaging a private conversation

Age: 16 - 19 Chat Room Rules

These rules apply to the chat rooms that cater for users aged 16 - 19;

• Light sexual content aloud only

Age: 13 - 15 Chat Room Rules

These rules apply to the chat rooms that cater for users aged 13 - 15;

• No swearing
• No sexual content

Help Chat Room

The help chat room is strictly for helping the chat rooms users with chat or website related problems, this is not a place to go and ask for moderation status or request a chat room. The moderators of this chat room are direct employees of the Stelivo network. They are here to help you, do not P2P them directly, please state your question in the main room and await a response. When your question has been answered please leave the room, do not idle inside the help room you will eventually get banned then not be able to recieve help anymore.

Posting Weblinks

Certain links are authorized to be posted in the chat rooms as long as it's not excessive. Social networking sites like Bebo, Facebook and Myspace are ok. Any other websites such as other chat rooms will be considered as spam and you will be k-lined instantly with no appeal.

IRC Policy

mIRC and any other IRC program has been blocked on Stelivo up untill May 08 but it doesn't seem fair to block members from using it because a handful of idiots abuse it's use. You can purchase IRC access through this website. Go to the IRC Access page for payment links more information and the terms and conditions of using it on the Stelivo server.

Selling of Products

It is strictly prohibited for anyone to sell products of any nature in the chat rooms, if someone is giving you a weblink in private messasing which leads to a website that asks for personal information and or a payment please report them to the moderators in the #Help room

Please respect the members of the chat room, do not involve yourself in hostile situations that can result in you being banned. If there is an arguement in the chat room you will be better off to ignore it or ignore the members arguing. Right click on the members nicknames and select 'Ignore Member' to block them.
